My paper titled Data Desire in the Anthropocene is now out in M/C: A Journal of Media & Culture as part of the special issue on 'protest'.

In the paper, I position data in relation to desire arguing that pleasure of data and media production which adults partake in in environmental movements are ontologically imbricated in the pleasure of protest through giving a sense of ‘selfhood’ and political subjectivity.  I position data proliferation as acts of protest and adult learning in the Anthropocene.  The paper takes up contrasting ideas of ‘pleasure’ and ‘desire’ in the work of Gilles Deleuze (1997).
